Egypt and the economic blocs
Egypt, Economics, 3/7/2000
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa asserted that Egypt was able during the recent years to develop its relations with the major economic blocs, saying that the Egyptian - US partnership, relations with the European Union and the Asian countries assembly, Egypt's membership in the COMESA assembly and establishing a large free Arab trade zone come in the framework of this policy.
Moussa said in a symposium on Egyptian relations with countries of Latin America that globalization "forms a main relation in this century which is inevitable for it produces chances and risks," that demand concentration on the joint efforts to magnify the benefits of globalization and confront the challenges which the government cannot confront alone.
