European Union donates Tunisian 13 million euros

Tunisia on Monday received a 13 million euro grant from the European Union to finance a program to support the private sector. The program aims at enhancing the capacities of privately-owned Tunisian enterprises and generating new jobs within the framework of the free exchange area that was established between Tunisia and the European Union.
With this first EU aid to Tunisia since the start of 2000, the total EU's aid to Tunisia within the Euro-Med partnership program reaches 411 million Euro.
