Ivoirian envoy in Morocco
Morocco-Cote D'Ivoire, Politics, 3/7/2000

Minister of external relations of Cote d'Ivoire, M'boua Christophe, arrived in Rabat Monday with a message from President Robert Guei to King Mohammed VI.

The envoy told reporters at the airport that his visit is part of the exemplary and brotherly relations that have always bound the two countries.

This two-day visit is Christophe's first to Morocco since he was appointed as the head of his country's diplomacy.

Two weeks ago, Cote d'Ivoire's minister of state in charge of security, General Lassana Palenfo, paid a visit to Morocco and was received by King Mohammed VI and last January, a Moroccan ministerial delegation visited Abidjan and conveyed a message from the sovereign to Ivorian President Gen. Robert Guei.

The visit was then described by the delegation as a token of support, friendship and brotherly ties by King Mohammed VI who grants a special importance to relations between the two countries.
