Italy for Israel's withdrawal from south Lebanon

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on Monday at Baabda palace received the speaker of the Italian Parliament, Kostiano Vapolensi. The two sides discussed bilateral relations andthe latest developments in the Middle East.
The Italian official welcomed the Israeli decision to withdraw from south Lebanon.
In a similar meeting with the Lebanese premier, the Italian Parliament speaker stressed the need to reach an agreement on both the Syrian and Lebanese peace tracks, voicing support for the contacts made by the Lebanese premier to this effect.
The two officials discussed bilateral relations, conditions in south Lebanon and the adverse impact of the Israeli attacks against the Lebanese civil installations and the infrastructure.
