Masalha and withdrawal from south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 3/7/2000
Israel's deputy foreign minister Nawaf Masalha said that even if "talks are stumbled" with Syria, the Israeli Army will withdraw to the international borders with Lebanon, unilaterally in a date not to exceed next July.
In a statement to the BBC on Monday, Masalha added that the Israeli Army started to prepare shelters and military barracks inside the Israeli borders and that these works will last two months, after which a withdrawal will be made.
