Egyptian - US agreement

Egypt and the USA signed today an agreement for scientific and technological cooperation at the conclusion of the technological and scientific research committee that emerged from the Egyptian - US partnership agreement in the framework of the Mubarak - Gore initiative.

Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mufid Shehab and Minister of Communications Ahmed Nazeef signed the agreement for Egypt while Sherry Shevaz, the US assistant secretary of commerce for technology affairs, signed it for USA.

The agreement includes the role of the Egyptian labor sector in communications technology with US corporations, encouraging all the investments and polices concerning this field, and studying joint research programs between the two countries, as well as increasing the trainees in USA.
