Moussa visits Libya

Egyptian Foreign MinisterAmr Moussa left Cairo today before noon, heading to Libya on a one-day visit during which Colonel Moammar Gaddafi will receive him.

Moussa is due to hold expanded discussions with his Libyan counterpart, Abdel Rahman Shalgam, secretary of the public committee for the external communications, tackling Arab and African causes of joint concern topped by the special arrangements for convening the African - European summit that will be opened by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on April 3 and 4.

The discussions will focus on discussing developments of the Sudanese issue from its different aspects in light of the joint Libyan - Egyptian initiative to achieve reconciliation and national rapport in Sudan, in addition to the bilateral relations between the two states.
