Lebanon welcomes Israel's decision to withdraw
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 3/6/2000
Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss has welcomed the Israeli Cabinet's decision to pull out from south Lebanon in implementation of UN Security Council resolution 425, which provides for its immediate and unconditional withdrawal from south Lebanon and the western Bekaa.
Commenting on the decision made by the Israeli Cabinet to withdraw from south Lebanon by July, the Lebanese prime minister said: "If we preferred to have the pullout made in accordance with an accord, that is because we do not trust Israel's intentions in case this withdrawal is done without agreement."
