Fighting in Somalia
Somalia, Local, 3/6/2000
It was announced on Sunday in Mogadishu the killing of some 17 Somalis in confrontations that took place between the warring groups during the weekend vacation.
This was announced on Sunday by the spokesman of the Somali Salvation Army group, Assad Muhammad Abdi, while local citizens said the fighting which took place on Saturday between the group and forces in support of Hussein Aideed also resulted in obstructing the movement of traffic between the capital, Mogadishu, and southern Somalia.
