Rotation, a strong point for African 2006 bids, Senegal's footbal official
Morocco-Senegal, Sports, 3/4/2000
The chairman of the Senegalese football federation, Omar Seck, said the rotation principle is a strong point in favor of the african candidates, Morocco and South Africa, to host the 2006 World Cup.
FIFA president Joseph Blatter is aware of the necessity to give the Cup to Africa, he said insisting the rotation principle is an issue because Germany and England, given the means they can muster, do not need to hand in a dossier.
In a press-conference Thursday evening, Seck, one of the ambassadors for the Moroccan bid, deplored the fact that while Africa accounted for 25% of FIFA members, its representation in the executive committee stands at a mere 12.5%.
