Alioua hands royal message to Mozambican president
Morocco-Mozambique, Politics, 3/4/2000

Social development, solidarity, employment and vocational training minister and government spokesman Khalid Alioua met Friday in Maputo with Mozambican President Joaquim Alberto Chissano and handed him a message from King Mohammed VI.

Bilateral cooperation, regional economic and social development issues as well as the Euro-African conference slated for early April in Cairo were covered.

Alioua, who also met the Mozambican foreign minister, said he informed the president of the latest developments in the Moroccan Sahara UN settlement plan.

Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi, for his part, sent a message of condolences to Mozambican peer Pascoal Manuel Mocumbi following floods which caused heavy casualties and damage on behalf of the kingdom, which dispatched a first batch of relief.
