Spain to contribute DH 403 million to Moroccan projects in 2000-2003

Spain said it would contribute 6.72 billion pesetas (403 million DH) in various development projects in Morocco between 2000 and 2003.

The Spanish international cooperation agency (AECI) which unveiled the figures said the Moroccan-Spanish scientific and technical cooperation commission which met in Madrid this week assessed cooperation projects carried out between 1997 and 1999 at a total value of 5.48 billion pesetas (329 million DH).

It also defined programs for the three coming years and decided that priority will be given to Moroccan northern regions by extending more micro-loans. The commission also renewed the importance of non-governmental organizations of the two countries in bilateral scientific and technical cooperation.
