Taxes provide over 68% of state receipts
Morocco, Economics, 3/3/2000
Taxes provides more than 68% of the state receipts with a total of $ 4.73 billion (47.3 billion DH), say statistics of the territory development administration. Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital, supplies 2.1 billion DH ($ 21 mln) in taxes.
Meanwhile, the state also pays $ 23.7 billion, or 35% of operating budget, in salaries.
