Jordanian - Syrian free zone to start its work at the end of March

The Jordanian - Syrian free trade zone will start its work at the end of March in a step to enhance commercial relations between the two states and to attract investments.

This zone is located on the joint borders between the two states in Gaber and Nazeeb locations on an area of 600 dunnams, half on each side.

Ali El-Madadha, general manager of the Jordanian free zone corporation, said that nearly 2,000 dunnams of this zone were developed to be ready to receive investors, saying that the general organization for the Jordanian - Syrian free zone company will convene its meeting at the end of March to open the zone's two gates officially in addition to inviting the investors from the two countries and from the Arab states to invest in it.
