Exporting 240,000 tons of Egyptian potatoes

It was decided to export 240,000 tons of Egyptian potatoes to Arab and European markets during this year in comparison to 230,000 tons in the last season.
Usama Badr El-Din, head of the Egyptian council for agricultural crops, said there is a commitment from the Egyptian exporters to implement what was agreed upon with the European market not to export any quantity of potatoes to Europe that are planted outside the areas agreed upon and that the potatoes exported to the Arab states were planted in the traditional areas in the Egyptian Delta.
