Japan studies lifting embargo on Egyptian citrus

The Japanese government is studying lifting the embargo imposed on Egyptian citrus in October. Egyptian economic sources said there are intensive communications between the two countries to sign agreements that state the commitment of the Egyptian producers and exporters to procedures and conditions for exporting agricultural crops to Japan to open the Japanese and Asian markets to the Egyptian citrus products, especially oranges. The sources expressed his hope of increasing exports of Egyptian orange crops to the Japanese market, which includes 140 million persons.
