Some 5 Lahd militia members killed, 4 wounded in South Lebanon

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Lebanese National resistance said one of its groups could penetrate into the very strong and tactical security measures taken by the Israeli occupation and implanted an ambush to the hireling militia between the position and the town of Ein Qenya.

The statement said at Wednesday 4.45 a.m. at dawn, the resistance men detonated six militia members who were in their military Jib car and that they were killed immediately.

The statement added at 6.15 a.m. another Lebanese resistance group attacked Barachit position and precise and direct hits were achieved.

Meantime, an Israeli military spokesman admitted the killing of five members of the Lahd militia in South Lebanon.

The Israeli army radio said on Wednesday that a big explosive charge went off on Wednesday at dawn near Ein Qinyeh village in Hasbaya district in the occupied part of South Lebanon and that violent confrontations took place after the blast between the Israeli occupation forces and its pro Lahd agents and Lebanese national resistance groups.

This operation created a state of fear in the lines of the Lahd militia members in the area.

News reports from the occupied part of South Lebanon said that the bodies of the Lahd men who killed in the operation were kept for one and a half hour near Ein Qenya position without any move from any of the position's backing unity to evacuate them.

The news reports indicated that the Lahd militia members refused the instructions of the officers at the positions of Zaghleh, Ein Qenya and Hasbia to head for backing their colleagues, due to the state of hysteria which invaded them of fears over their lives.

As a result, the militia men were provoked to bombard sporadically into the depth of Rashaya district and several shelling were dropped into occupied Hasbaya and resulted in killing the Lebanese citizen Sami Humam while citizen Ghassan Hamad reported to be seriously wounded.

Meantime, the Israeli occupation forces closed off the crossing gate in Zamraya in the two ways.

Further news reports from South Lebanon said that three Lahd militia members were wounded in the attack carried out by the Lebanese national resistance on Wednesday morning against Teir Harfa position in the western sector of occupied South Lebanon.

Israeli sources admitted the wounding of the three Lahd agents and of that two of them are seriously wounded.

The Israeli occupation forces also escalated their aggressions against areas adjoining the occupied parts of South Lebanon and its western Bekaa and the bombardment resulted in killing one Lebanese citizen and wounding of one child.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli forces intensively bombarded, on Wednesday morning and for three continuous hours the surrounding of Meimas, Ein Santa, al-Khalwat, al-Kafir, Marj al-Zohour, Ein Fajjour, Ein Hersheh, Tanoura heights and Ein Atta in the Western Bekaa and Rashaya district.

The Israeli bombardment resulted in closing of schools in the targeting area and in huge material losses, while houses of Lebanese citizen Hussein Ismael Abu Saeed and the house of the Lebanese soldier Riad Habib Moussa in Rashya district were damaged.

The Israeli forces also bombarded the residential areas of Ein Harsha town resulted in wounding a child and damages in several houses.

Lebanese security sources said that four houses were damaged as a result of the Israeli bombardment against Zibqin town in the central sector of South Lebanon.

On the other hand, the Lebanese resistance denied to have bombarded on Wednesday the town of Hasbaya or its surroundings in the eastern sector of South Lebanon.

In a statement the Lebanese resistance said it " categorically denied to have had bombarded the steadfast town of Hasbaya or its surroundings as rumored by Israeli sources."

Earlier, the Israeli occupation army and the Lahd militia sources accused the Lebanese resistance of attacking Hasbaya and that such attacks resulted in the killing one Lebanese citizen and wounding another.
