Morocco, USAID sign partnership accord

Morocco and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Wednesday concluded a partnership accord for the use of information technologies in education.
The agreement, initialled by Moroccan National Education Minister Ismail Alaoui and USAID director James Bednar, provides for a two-year project aimed at enhancing teachers' competencies through introducing appropriate information technology.
USAID undertakes to endow teachers' training institutes in five Moroccan cities with multimedia classes.
The US agency will contribute $800,000 to the project, aimed at preparing the Moroccan children to the future challenges.
