King Mohammed sends message to Algerian President
Morocco-Algeria-Africa, Politics, 3/2/2000

The Moroccan minister in charge of the Maghreb and the Arab-Islamic world, Abdeslam Znined, conveyed on Thursday to Algerian Premier Ahmed Benbitour a message from King Mohammed VI to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. Znined, who arrived on the same day in the Algerian capital, said the message is part of a series of letters sent by the king to African leaders on consolidation of cooperation in the continent to improve the living conditions of populations in various African countries, mainly in economic, trade, industrial, and environment protection.

Those are the topics of the king's messages to African countries, said Znined, who hoped that his visit would consolidate relations between Morocco and Algeria and in the Maghreb, at large.
