Abdul Meguid: There are no reservations toward discussing sanctions on Iraq
Regional, Politics, 3/1/2000
Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid stated that there are no reservations from any Arab state toward discussing the subject of Iraq among those that will be discussed by the Arab foreign ministers in Beirut.
He said Iraq will be discussed from its all aspects, including easing the sanctions on the Iraqi people, Iraq's problems with the United Nations, the Kuwaiti captives kept in Iraq, discussing lifting the suffering off the Iraqi people and implementing resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, as well as all issues concerning the siege.
Abdul Meguid also welcomed the visit paid by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and his meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, saying that the meeting is a good chance for consultations with Mubarak concerning the Arab causes.
