Official talks were held on Tuesday in Cairo between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz. The meeting was attended by the two countries' foreign ministers, Amr Moussa and Prince Saud al-Faisal and the Emir of Riyadh, Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.

Discussions dealt with the Middle East peace process on all tracks, the need for Israel's implementation of international legitimacy resolutions which call for Israel's complete withdrawal to the June 4, 1967 border lines and its unconditional withdrawal from south Lebanon, based on UN Security Council resolution 425.

During the talks the two sides stressed complete solidarity with the Syrian position towards border demarcation of the June 4, 1967 lines and complete withdrawal from the Golan.

The two leaders stressed the importance of unity and cohesion between the Syrian and Lebanese tracks so as to reach a just and comprehensive peace.

The two sides also stressed the importance of strengthening Arab solidarity and supporting Lebanon by all means to confront the Israeli aggression.

Crown Prince Abdullah arrived in Cairo earlier in the day, leading a delegation on a one-day visit to Cairo.

In this respect, Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said on Tuesday the visit made to Cairo on Tuesday by the Saudi crown prince falls within the course of continuous consultation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
