A Kuwaiti donation to Lebanon to rebuild power stations

Kuwait has decided to offer Lebanon US $15 million to repair what has been destroyed by the Israeli aggressive raids recently against Lebanon.
In a press statement in Kuwait on Tuesday, the Kuwaiti deputy premier and minister of state for parliament affairs said that the Emir of Kuwait order to allocate this sum and the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab economic development to carry out this task.
Meanwhile, the deputy director general of the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development, Abdul Wahab al-Bader, said the fund has estimated the cost of rehabilitating the sector of electricity in Lebanon at US $32 million.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am issued on Tuesday, al-Bader explained that so far the fund has not made a comprehensive evaluation of the damage inflicted on the Lebanese infrastructure as a result of the Israeli bombardment, adding that other sectors besides the sector of electricity were greatly damaged and the costs of their rehabilitation were not set.
Al-Bader added that certain damages have been repaired in the electricity sector so the sector will be reinstalled within two months.
