Sudanese - Egyptian summit in April

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael said following his meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa yesterday on margin of the first economic conference for the Comesa countries that a Sudanese - Egyptian summit will be convened in Cairo on April 1 between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir.

Ismael referred to convening the Sudanese - Egyptian summit on the margin of the African - European summit hosted by Cairo.

He announced an agreement on forming a technical committee to prepare for the joint ministerial committee under the chairmanship of the two foreign ministers on April 1.

Othman Ismael also accused the Sudanese opposition of delaying implementing the Egyptian - Libyan reconciliation initiative, saying that they failed to appoint a representative.
