More than half Moroccan urban population live in 7% of Moroccan cities

As many as 69.3% of Morocco's 13.42 million-strong urban population are concentrated in 7% of Moroccan cities, says a study by the demographic studies and research center (CERED).
Morocco's 7 biggest cities host 9.3 million inhabitants, while 2.7 million are scattered in 253 small cities and 1.42 million settle in 21 middle-sized cities.
According to the study, the Moroccan urban population, which accounted for half of the Moroccan total population in the early 90's, is expected to reach 62% in 2010.
