Iranian- Egyptian relations to be resumed very soon

The Lebanese paper al-Mustaqbil reported, according to well-informed sources in Tehran, that the government of Iranian President Muhammad Khatami will announce the resumption of talks with Egypt.
In its Monday issue, the paper added that this new inclination in Tehran falls in the course of strengthening the policy of openness to the Arab states following the strong victory of the Islamic front participating in Iran's Parliamentary elections.
