Iraqi ambassador commends relations with Syria

The Iraqi ambassador in Amman, Sabah Yassin, on Monday said, "We view Syria as a neighboring sisterly country to Iraq, and we do have common national, historical and economic interests with our Arab people in Syria."
In a statement to the Jordanian daily al-Dostour issued on Monday, Yassin added, "We are seeking to develop our relations with all Arab states, including Syria."
