Netanyahu and negotiations with Syria
Syria-Israel, Politics, 2/29/2000
Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied having agreed on the withdrawal from the occupied Syrian Golan Heights to the June 4, 1967 border lines.
In an interview with Israeli Radio on Monday, Netanyahu said that negotiations with Syria were halted because he refused to demarcate the borders during the negotiation process.
He continued that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak had taken a final decision to withdraw from the Golan to the June 4, 1967 border lines and that Barak has to tell that to the Israelis.
