Meguid asks Swiss FM to solve issue of Kuwaiti captives in Iraq

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid discussed with Swiss Foreign Minister Joseph Deiss means of Switzerland playing a vital role in issues concerning the humanitarian conditions in the area and the possibility of cooperating with the International Committee of the Red Cross, as Switzerland is the headquarters of this international organization, concerning the Kuwaiti captives in Iraq since 1990.
Abdul Meguid said following his meeting with the Swiss foreign minister that he informed Deiss of the AL's readiness to cooperate with Switzerland and with the ICRC to find a solution for the issue of the Kuwaiti captives.
He asserted the importance of making haste in solving this issue to end the humanitarian suffering that has resulted from it.
