Syria asks for reasons behind Jospin 's statement

An official source at the Syrian foreign ministry said today that the foreign ministry has summoned the French ambassador in Damascus and asked him for explanations on statements made by the French Premier Lionle Jospin in describing the Lebanese national resistance as " terrorists," Al-Jazira TV reported.
