Football: morocco's new coach to start work in March
Morocco, Sports, 2/26/2000
Morocco's new coach, Henri Kasperzack, will start working with the Moroccan national football team next March to prepare the team for its first 2002 World Cup preliminary heats match against Gambia next April.
Kasperzack, a Polish-born French national, was chosen by the Moroccan Football Federation from a list of several renowned coaches, who applied for the post. These included Arthur George of Portugal, Arrigo Sacci of Italy and former Real Madrid manager, Toschak.
Kasperzack replaces French Henri Michel, who resigned following Morocco's poor performance in the African Cup of Nations, held Jan.-Feb in Ghana and Nigeria. Morocco was ousted at the first round of the cup.
Kasperzack had previously coached Tunisia and Cote d'Ivoire.
