Russian military delegation holds talks in Damascus

The Syrian deputy commander in chief of the army and armed forces, deputy premier and defense minister, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass, on Thursday received the chairman of the international military cooperation department at the Russian Defense Ministry, Col. Lioned Ivashov, and members of the accompanying delegation.
Talks dealt with friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries' armies and means of developing these relations in the interests of Syria and Russia.
Earlier in the day, the Syrian army's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Ali Aslan, discussed with the chief of the Russian military delegation friendship ties between the two armies.
