Moroccan business delegation travels to US to explore $2 billion worth projects
Morocco-USA, Business, 2/24/2000

A Moroccan public and private business delegation will head next March to the United States to negotiate an investment program for 20 projects, worth $2 billion.

The US embassy in Morocco says it has worked with representatives from Morocco's public and private sectors, in coordination with the Morocco-U.S. Council on Trade and Investment, to develop a portfolio of 20 or more major investment projects that would be of interest to American investors. the projects cover tourism, agribusiness, water, technology, energy, and infrastructure.

This mission is a way of bringing real, substantive investment opportunities to the attention of investors from the U.S. private sector, according to the source.

The Moroccan-US council on trade and investment has tailored the projects to the needs of US investors and has devised a timetable of encounters between Moroccan and US economic operators.
