Palestinian Hamas says it will continue its operations against Israel
Palestine, Politics, 2/24/2000

The Palestinian Hamas resistance movement said that its campaign against the Israeli security forces did not cause harm, but it undertook resuming the resistance, saying that the detentions will not affect the resistance.

Hundreds of Hamas followers organized march in streets of Gaza City in which they repeated slogans against Israel and the USA.

Abd El-Aziz El-Rantisi, one of Hamas' leaders, said the detentions made by the authorities in Hamas' lines give the impression that nothing remained from Oslo but security cooperation, and Oslo, which he said is publicly refused, remained a security cooperation only. "We denounce this security cooperation which leads to obstructing resisting the occupation and defending the Palestinian people," he said.
