Al-Shara to hold an Arab tour
Saudi Arabia-Syria, Politics, 2/24/2000

The Saudi daily Okaz reported on Wednesday that Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara will visit Saudi Arabia in the course of a tour he will make of several Arab capitals of concern to the Middle East peace process.

The paper quoted the Jordanian ambassador in Damascus, Nasouh al-Majali, as saying in a statement published on Wednesday that the tour which will start within the coming days will have Amman as its first station.

The paper added that al-Shara will carry a message, described by well-informed sources as very important, from President Hafez al-Assad to the Saudi King Fahd pertaining to developments of conditions in the region and the consequences of the Israeli aggressions on Lebanon against the Middle East peace process.
