Baz visits Lebanon soon
Egypt-Lebanon, Politics, 2/23/2000

"Presidential Political Advisor Dr. Osama Al-Baz is due to visit Lebanon in two weeks to follow up the implementation of President Hosni Mubarak's initiative during his lightning Saturday's visit to Labanon for the reconstruction of power plants," Al Diar newspaper said Tuesday. The paper said that Baz would also meet with a number of Lebanese officials to discuss steps for putting Mubarak's initiative into effect.

Following his participation in the Arab Water Security Conference, Baz warned in a statement to A1-Ahram said that Israel's uncompromising situation will escalate tension in the region and hamper the peace process.
"We do not aim to embarrass Israel, but to change its current situation and views on the peace process," Baz said.
