Yemen: We do not mind US mediation to solve border problem with Saudi Arabia

Official Yemeni sources said the Yemeni government welcomes the mediation spoken of by Edward Walker, the US under secretary of state for Near East affairs, to solve the border problem between the two countries to reach a direct friendly solution or through resorting to international arbitration.
The sources denied what was recently said by Sheikh Abdullah El-Ahmad, chairman of the Yemeni deputies council, concerning Yemeni opposition to US mediation and that El-Ahmad's declarations express his personal point of view and do not represent the Yemeni government's point of view, which expressed its welcome to any efforts in the framework of solving the border problem that has existed for years.
