15,000 tons of January Egyptian potato exports

A report issued by the general organization for the observation of Egyptian exports and imports revealed a decrease in the volume of Egyptian potato exports for January, as the total exported quantities reached 15,000 tons, among which are 5,700 tons to the UK, 700 tons to Germany and Greece and 9,000 tons for Arab markets.
The report also asserted that the total of the planned to be exported this year reach's 140,000 tons in return of more than 150,000 tons that were exported in last year.
The reports stated that the European restrictions imposed on importing Egyptian potatoes caused a decrease in the volume of the Egyptian exports of potatoes and that there are political attempts to increase volume of Egyptian exports of potatoes and sweet potatoes.
