Egypt's Muslims, Copts live in complete harmony

Minister of Waqfs (Religions Endowments) Dr. Mahmoud Hamdy Zakzouk underlined that Islam is a religion of moderation and tolerance and advocates sublime thought.

At a meeting with students of German universities versed in Arabic and Arab affair, he said that the Egyptian Muslims and Copts Live in peace, love and fraternity.

He referred to the cordial and deep relations between Pope Shenouda III and all the religious symbols in Egypt.

He also maintained that Egypt under Mubarak enjoys an unprecedented atmosphere of freedom with an ever-increasing margin of democracy.

The meeting comes within the framework of lectures organized by the Center of Arabic language at Cairo University with a view to apprising German students of the genuine and real essence of Islam.
