Morocco in Arab parliaments meeting

Morocco is attending the 9th congress of the Arab Parliamentary Union (APU), which will open works this Saturday in the Algerian capital city.
The union will amend its statute, elect a new president and devise an action plan for year 2000, said speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives (lower house of parliament), Abdelouahed Radi, who will represent Morocco in the meeting.
The creation of a unified Arab parliament is among the topical issues to be debated by the Algiers meeting, whose agenda also features the reaction of the Arab common market project and issues related to women's condition in the Arab world.
Globalization and inter-Arab reconciliation will also be raised.
