Rabat agrees on opening a bureau for International amnesty organization
Morocco, Culture, 2/18/2000

The Moroccan government agreed on establishing a bureau for the International amnesty organization in Ribat concerning publishing and printing the organization's pamphlets and establishing sessions in the human rights field.

A statement issued by the Arab group of the organization located in Cairo (informally) said that there is a delegation from the organization that will visit Morocco soon to discuss the executive steps needed for establishing this informational bureau and solving many former disputes between Ribat and the organization during the last period.

The statement hailed this Moroccan decision which comes in a continuation of the trend of the el-Youssoufi government to develop Ribat's relations with non-governmental organizations in general and working organizations in the human rights field in particular.
