International conference on women's issues in Rabat

An international conference on women's issues was held this Feb 15 through 17 in Rabat to debate the role of women in society and their participation in the development process.
Participants from Morocco and other foreign countries exchanged views on the problems faced by women and the experience of each country in this domain.
The conference, which was cosponsored by the Mohammed V University of Rabat, the British council, the Konrad Adenaur foundation and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO/based in Rabat), featured roundtables on spaces of challenge, politics, sports, culture and violence against women.
