Spanish agriculture minister in Morocco
Morocco-Spain, Politics, 2/17/2000

Spanish Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Minister Jesus Posada started this Thursday a short visit to Morocco.

Posada told reporters upon arrival he would confer with Moroccan officials on fisheries and on the exportation of Moroccan tomatoes to the European Union.

The Spanish official had visited Morocco last October.

Morocco decided not to renew a four-year fisheries accord with the European Union that expired end of last November. The decision sparked a series of vandalism acts perpetrated by Spaniards against Moroccan produce transiting Spanish territory towards European Markets.
