Interior minister meets World Bank executives
Morocco, Politics, 2/17/2000
Moroccan Interior Minister Ahmed Midaoui on Wednesday conferred with a World Bank (WB) delegation on aspects of cooperation between Rabat and the Bretton Woods institution.
The two sides lauded the sound ties of cooperation between Morocco and the WB and assessed projects financed by the bank in Morocco.
The WB delegation is led by Christian Delevoie, director of the Maghreb department.
The WB is financing several projects in Morocco in the sectors of water supply, housing, sanitation, and education. The bank is also co-financing the rehabilitation of Morocco's ancient walled city of Fez-Medina, particularly the historic housing sections and the surrounding environment.
