Mofaz admits fears among Israeli soldiers in south Lebanon

The chief of the Israeli army, Shaul Mofaz has admitted that soldiers have feelings of great concern and fear due to the damage and losses inflicted on them, resulting from the operations carried out by the Lebanese resistance in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

The Israeli Hebrew-language Voice of Israel radio quoted Moufaz as saying, while replying to criticism addressed against him by several Israeli ministers and Knesset members, that the Israeli soldiers feel fear and concern as they are not allowed to intervene in the political affairs or in making political statements that would obstruct what Israel is doing in south Lebanon.
