A message from al-Sharaa to Annan regarding peace

Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa refuted Israel's allegation concerning its latest assault on south Lebanon in a message sent by al-Sharaa to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan today in answering the message sent by Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy to Annan recently.
Al-Sharaa depicted the Israeli minister's blame on Syria as illogical, evading Tel Aviv's responsibility for the attack on south Lebanon.
Al-Sharaa added, "Israel must face the truth instead of achieving illusive victories against civilians, and it must implement peace instead of stirring malice among the Arab people against the Israeli people once more."
