Report: Jordan refuses electricity links with Israel
Jordan-Israel, Economics, 2/16/2000
The Jordanian weekly al-Hadath quoted Jordanian governmental sources as saying that the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and mineral resources has recently refused an Israeli proposal to carry out electricity grid links between Jordan and Israel.
The sources said the Jordanian ministry refused the Israeli request because the Palestinian Authority was excluded from this project, adding that the ministry will not consider this project unless the Palestinians will be their third partner, besides the Egyptians.
