King Abdullah meets with UN chief envoy

The Jordanian King Abdullah II reviewed on Tuesday in Amman with the special coordinator and representative for the peace process, Terry Larsen, developments in the Middle East, especially current developments.

During the meeting, the Jordanian king stressed the role played by the UN in establishing peace and reaching solutions to problems facing the Middle East, especially the question of the refugees. He asserted the importance of collective efforts by all sides concerned to reach a just and comprehensive peace on all tracks.

He stressed Jordan's stand concerning Israel's withdrawal from the occupied Arab territories, voicing support for the "brothers" in Syria and Lebanon for having back their occupied lands, according to international legitimacy resolutions.
