Canceling customs and sales tax on computer software

Egyptian Minister of Communication and Technology Ahmed Nazeef said that there is a plan to cancel the customs fees and sales tax on computer software in the Egyptian market.
Nazeef said that President Mubarak agreed on reducing the customs by 50% on computer components to reach 5% instead of 10%.
Nazeef told ArabicNews.com that, "This step is considered one of the steps for developing the data technology market from 50 million L.E. currently to 5 billion L.E. during the coming 10 years with exports of 3 billions providing 60,000 new jobs."
