Arab League welcomes peace accord in Djibouti
Djibouti, Politics, 2/15/2000
The Arab League welcomed on Monday the peace accord signed recently in Paris between the Djiboutian government and the opposition, led by former Prime Minister Ahmed Dini.
An Arab League statement said that the deal is considered an important accomplishment showing the wisdom of Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
He said the deal should realize a qualitative leap in the internal policy of Djibouti and restoring law and order in this Afro-Arab state.
