Jordanian Parliament votes down bill aimed at corruption

The Jordanian Parliament in a joint session yesterday failed to get the needed two-thirds majority to pass a draft law that would have required the disclosure of assets before candidates assume public posts in an effort to prevent the accumulation of illegal wealth, Jordan Times reported.
